A large Manufacturer/Distributor was recently faced with a unique challenge of moving a warehouse from one location to another during a very heavy shipping period. They had hundreds of loads, some of which were scheduled to ship in a matter of weeks while others were to remain in inventory for a much longer period of time. Katt Worldwide Logistics was approached with the challenge and exceeded the customer’s expectations in the
management of the process.
Through our in house asset based carrier, we were able to provide drivers and equipment to shuttle every load that was to remain in inventory to the new warehouse. The remaining inventory we moved to one of our managed Katt warehouse locations
and inventoried and managed the release of each load per the shipping schedule provided by the customer.
In this specific case, Katt Worldwide Logistics stepped up to the challenge by providing both Over the Road and Rail service to the customer as well as Warehousing, Shuttle and Staffing to complete the project.
