Wood
Working
Katt Saves the Day |
19,000
pieces of high-end wooden lawn furniture show up on a Friday,
ready for shipment to retail stores across the country -- except
one thing is wrong. There is an obvious mismatch in some of
the wood stains which is unacceptable. Katt is called on Friday
morning and asked to submit a bid by noon to correct
the problem. Katt is awarded the contract at 2 PM, starts receiving
the products at 5 PM and has a repeatable process perfected
by midnight. On Saturday morning, 19,000 units start going through
the process. The furniture is unpacked, sanded, refinished,
repacked and fully in place for warehouse fulfillment of shipments
on Monday morning.
Katt people catch some shut-eye on Tuesday. |
